Young consumers today have a reputation for being more open-minded about gender issues, and according to Fusion’s recent survey 50% of 18-34-year-olds actually believe gender exists on a spectrum. Forty-six percent say they believe individuals can only identify as male or female, and 4% say they don’t know. We expect these numbers could shift as conversations around transgendered individuals become more mainstream.
