The era of the Millennial parent is beginning, and 600,000 babies were reportedly born to “Millennial-aged” young moms in the U.K. in 2014. Media targeting these new parents is being developed, and newly launched Channel Mum wants to be a hub for mommy vloggers and creators. The channel aims to tell more honest stories of parenting and motherhood in order to appeal to new moms looking for realistic portrayals of what they are experiencing. Panasonic sponsored Mum’s launch by providing 100 moms a budget and a digital camcorder to begin their own vlogs, and more established YouTube vloggers will be added to the community in the future.
