There’s a climate change generation gap: a recent poll found that two-thirds of 18-34-year-old adults say they are “inclined to vote for a political candidate who supports cutting greenhouse gas emissions” and support other environment-conserving measures, compared to just half of seniors.

There’s a climate change generation gap: a recent poll found that two-thirds of 18-34-year-old adults say they are “inclined to vote for a political candidate who supports cutting greenhouse gas emissions” and support other environment-conserving measures, compared to just half of seniors. This energy-issue gulf between the generations could be partially due to Millennials’ higher awareness of climate change issues, which tend to be discussed more avidly on social media. However, older voters are far more likely to say they plan to vote, so these eco-minded Millennials aren’t likely to swing elections their way. (National Geographic)
