We have predicted that for post-Millennials, coding could become a knowledge set that is as commonplace as typing, and it is already becoming a mandatory part of some schools’ education plan. Chicago has mandated coding education, with a plan to make computer science a requirement in public high schools within three years. Currently, only 2.4% of college students graduate with a degree in computer science, but that number is likely to increase as STEM is emphasized for this next generation. (CNN)
