After an accidental launch, and plenty of buildup, Facebook officially released their Snapchat-competitor app Slingshot yesterday. Whether it will be the Next Big Thing in social sharing is not certain. While some are saying it is “more than a Snapchat clone,” Mashable calls it a “more desperate version” of the messaging app it’s designed to rival. (The Verge,Mashable)
