HBO is taking an aggressive and creative approach to promote the second season of its hit show “Girls.” Fans can take part in fun, free, city-centric events such as taking free spinning classes at Soul Cycle or getting their hair done at Drybar. Urban Outfitters is offering nail appliques inspired by the show’s characters, and the chance to win gift cards and free rent for a year! While the characters on “Girls” certainly aren’t consumers of these brands, HBO is tapping into the interests of its core audience and generating massive buzz. (AdAge)
