Students in select schools in Colorado, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York, and Tennessee are about to spend even more time in the classroom. Some schools in these five states are adding at least 300 hours, beginning in 2013, in an effort to boost student achievement and provide students with a better-rounded curriculum. We’re not sure if more time at school will solve this, but this approach will be tested in a three-year pilot program. (CBS News)
