Texting while driving remains a serious problem among teens and they engage in this risky behavior much more than their parents think. On an average trip, 16-18-year-olds read or send texts 26 times more often than their parents believe, which suggests that more needs to be done to alert parents of this problem and for them to communicate with their kids.
