U.S. birth rates were down for the 4th year in a row in 2011, and the number of babies born to teens is the lowest since the 1940s. There was also a decline in Hispanic birth rates, all of which can be attributed to the economy, more women delaying having a family, and mores messages in the media about the difficulties of being a teen mom.
