A recent study states Gen Y isn't into the news, but we see it a little differently. While the author says Millennials don't view being informed as important, we think this is another case of misunderstanding Gen Y and how they consume media, including news, differently: Gen Y feels traditional news outlets talk down to them, so they are turning to alternative sources; not tuning out altogether.
