Surprisingly, the upper middle class seems to be the population being hit the hardest by the economic crisis. This population has seen the highest increase in college loan debt in the past three years and the highest increase in debt in general. This may cause these families to look at their spending and make different choices about what colleges to attend. (WSJ)
