The allegedly teen-created “Grow a Garden” game on Roblox is young gamers’ new fave  It’s no secret that cozy games like Animal Crossing and Stardew Valley have won over the hearts of young gamers. According to YPulse, 69% of 13-17-year-old girls and 47% of 13-17-year-old boys like cozy games, mainly due to their real-life mental health benefits. Now, a new favorite has bloomed: Grow A Garden, a free-to-play Roblox game that’s exploded in popularity since its quiet launch in March. As of last week, the game had more than 2.2M people playing, four times as many as the next most popular game on Roblox. It’s also among the games to most quickly gain 1B visits in Roblox history.   The game was initially created by a 16-year-old (who remains anonymous) that built it in a just few days, and was acquired by a team of developers at Do Big Studios shortly after.
