Most young people consider themselves adventurous eaters, open to trying bold new flavors or the latest product drop from brands they already love—but young people of color (POC) take it even further. YPulse’s Food Shopping and Trends report shows this demo is more likely to be tapped into foodie culture and trends than their White / non-Hispanic (WNH) peers. A big part of that may be because many viral food trends young consumers are seeing online are simply international or cultural foods that aren’t common where they’re from, which may be why they resonate even more with young POC.
