YPulse recently told you that while nearly all young people play video games in some capacity, not all players consider themselves to be gamers. Whether that’s due to gamer stereotypes or other reasons, like not viewing non-competitive games to be as equal as shooter or sports games, gaming is a culture that goes beyond just screen time. But young people who play games are playing across various consoles and devices that influence which games they play most. However, some of (if not most of) the most successful in the industry right now have activations across multiple devices, allowing for cross-platform gaming that Gen Z are clearly fans of based on the games they tell YPulse are their favorites.
