YPulse’s yearly Shopping for The Home report shows that decorating is a form of self-care for young consumers (cleaning, too, according to our last #CleanTok Subculture deep dive). Whether they have a house, apartment—as renters or owners—or live with their parents/roommates, designing their own spaces is a top priority to them. Gen Z and Millennials want to create a space they feel comfortable in, but they have clear stylistic preferences on what makes it just so. And with their list of next purchases at the ready, we can predict which décor will win them over.  YPulse data shows that over seven in 10 young consumers agree that they have a specific decorating style.
