Two-thirds of young people in Spain still live with their parents. A new study from the charity Ayuda en Acción (Help in Action) revealed that a staggering 64% of young Spanish people between the ages of 18 and 34 live with their parents. It’s true that there are cultural reasons why Gen Z and Millennials in Spain are more likely to live with their parents than in other European countries, but high youth unemployment, income inequality, and the cost-of-living crisis are also factors to explain why this number is so high.
