Clickbait has taken over the internet. The success of sites like Upworthy and BuzzFeed has made more venerable publications like CNN start to use sensationalist headlines and fluff content online. Now the Onion is launching ClickHole, a site to skewer online media and act as “another mirror we can hold up to society.” Expect parody headlines like, “Quiz: Which pizza should I have tonight? (presented by Pizza Hut)”—and for some to inevitably confuse it with a mainstream news source. (Fast Company)
