Personalized messages from Thomas the Tank Engine are coming to Cameo. YPulse told you how brands have been tapping Cameo to connect Gen Z and Millennials with celebrities, and recently the app has been putting a creative spin on how it connects kids to their favorite “celebrities” (personalized messages from Santa are a thing). Now, Cameo is teaming up with Mattel to create personalized video messages from Thomas the Tank Engine for $20 per video. Conversational AI will bring the characters of Thomas the Tank Engine to life, pulling from banks of conversations and scripts stored from the shows and movies. Cameo’s chief business officer notes that personalized messages from Barbie and American Girl dolls are also a possibility as the app works to grab the attention of young kids—and their parents.
