Family tracking app Life360 is tapping celebrities and influencers to grow and change. Last year, Life360 made headlines for hiring the Gen Z teens who were trying to take down the app on TikTok. Now, they’re getting some serious celebrity backing as they raise funds and develop the platform. Their latest investment round will create a “Family Advisory Council” that includes Joanna and Chip Gaines, Tony Hawke, Michael Phelps, and TikToker Billy Perry. According to the app, the council will “draw on advisors’ own family experiences to help inform feature developments and shape the future of the product and marketing strategy.” Over 900K families are currently paying for Life360, which allows families to message one another and parents to monitor their kids’ locations, but the app wants to work on becoming “something all family members want to use.” (TechCrunch)
