Millennial parents don’t want their kids to repeat their financial mistakes.

Millennial parents don’t want their kids to repeat their financial mistakes. Having experienced two global financial crises in their adulthood, not to mention their record-breaking levels of student debt, Millennial parents are incredibly conscious about educating their own kids about finances early. Interviews with parents of this generation show they’re sharing advice about saving, avoiding student loans, investing, buying experiences instead of things, having multiple streams of income, and more. According to one Millennial mom, “I don’t want to pass on the fact that I was not taught about money. I think the earlier you teach your children, the better.” YPulse’s most recent finance report found that 90% of Millennial parents want their children to learn about personal finance management as soon as possible.
