Some employees aren’t ready to say goodbye to working from home. In a survey conducted by the anonymous professional network Blind, 64% of employees surveyed say they would rather permanently work from home than take a $30K salary raise. Of the 45 companies represented in the data, only two had employees who chose the salary raise over the work from home option, with 64% of Amazon employees, 62% of Microsoft workers, and 67% of Google employees choosing permanent work from home over the $30K raise. YPulse’s employment and career goals data shows that 31% of employed Millennials would like to continue working from home even after COVID, and as companies navigate post-pandemic work culture it’s clear that young people (and beyond) are craving autonomy and flexibility when it comes to deciding where they work.
