Walmart’s collaborations with celebrities and influencers are helping them tap into newer (and younger) audiences. The big box retailer has a long history of working with celebrities to launch private label brands, and Walmart continues to partner with celebrities and influencers to launch high-quality products that reach consumers at all different stages of life (like Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard’s clean baby line, Hello Bello, and Drew Barrymore’s cookware brand, Beautiful by Drew Barrymore). Walmart’s recent social media efforts, including its Cookshop livestreaming program with hosts like Patti LaBelle, LeBron James, and Jaime Oliver has also helped the retail giant tap into specific audiences by engaging with the large followings that come with celebrities and influencers. YPulse research found that 13-38-year-olds’ favorite place to buy clothing is Walmart, and the brand’s social media and influencer efforts are no doubt helping the brand engage with young consumers.
