Netflix has ordered the Hype House reality TV series Gen Z has been waiting for, and they’re saying it could be the next The Real Housewives. YPulse told you that content creator collectives are gaining major attention from Gen Z, and the Hype House reality series could be the first of its kind for TikTok and YouTube influencers everywhere. Netflix has landed the reality series in alliance with Wheelhouse Entertainment, which will highlight Hype House’s LA mansion, along with the glamorous and dramatic antics of the group’s day-to-day lives as viral content creators. The effort is part of an initiative to legitimize the work influencers like Nikita Dragun and Thomas Petrou are creating for brands and their personal TikTok channels. Hype House currently has over six million followers on Instagram and 20 million on TikTok. The show is just one of what will likely be many reality series featuring the viral TikTok stars Gen Z and Millennials have come to love, and Wheelhouse executive producers are saying it could be “the [M]illennial version of The Real Housewives.” (Deadline)
