Teens aren’t confident when it comes to personal finance and investing. According to a Greenlight survey, Gen Z is interested in personal finance and investing, but they lack confidence and want more financial education. Three out of four (74%) teens don’t feel confident or knowledgeable about personal finance, and nearly half (49%) say they have never made a budget. Thirty-two percent of teens couldn’t correctly identify the difference between a credit and debit card, while 41% didn’t know how to pay taxes. Overall, 73% reported wanting more personal finance education. YPulse found that saving money and increasing their savings is Gen Z’s top financial goal, and in the last year, more brands have been finding ways to help teens manage their money. (PRNewswire)
