Dunkin’ is offering drive-thru weddings for couples wanting to get hitched for Valentine’s Day. To promote their seasonal menu, the brand is getting in on the drive-thru marketing trend with an experimental campaign that gives couples the chance to get married or renew their vows in a drive-thru lane. Interested participants can enter the Dunkin’ I Do Contest for an opportunity to win a wedding that will take place in Middletown, New York, while other couples can visit for a drive-thru vow renewal or commitment ceremony. As part of the campaign, there will also be a wedding-themed online pop-up shop. YPulse’s Valentine’s Day report found that 48% of 13-39-year-olds are interested in Valentine’s Day-themed events and promotions—and of course, unconventional mini-weddings have been trending during the pandemic with 15% of Millennials reporting that a wedding they were supposed to attend was cancelled in 2020.
