Thanks to Gen Z, “flared leggings” (a.k.a yoga pants) from the 2000s are back in style. Gen Z calls them “flared leggings,” while Millennials call them “yoga pants.” Either way, the 2000s fashion staple is back. Models and influencers like Kaia Gerber and Emma Chamberlain have been all over social media donning styles from brands like Lululemon and Bleusalt. Throughout the pandemic, young people have fueled the loungewear and athleisure industry as they look for something comfy to wear in quarantine, and nostalgia is helping fuel 2000s style resurgences. (Thanks to Kim Kardashian West, velour tracksuits have also risen from the fashion dead). (L’Officiel)
