Shopping locally might be a long-term trend for young consumers post-COVID. According to a survey from payment solutions firm Sezzle, more than half of Gen Z are trying to support local brands during the crisis, with 60% saying that they will continue to do so even after the pandemic is over, compared to 55% of Millennials and 50% of Gen X. The push to support local brands was also fueled by the protests, as many young consumers looked to shop at Black-owned businesses. (Footwear News)
