K-pop group BTS’s new app rose to the top of the app store overnight—literally. While the last app sitting at number one, Niantic’s “Harry Potter: Wizards Unite,” took 15 hours to climb there, “BTS World” dropped at 2am PT, and five hours later became the most-downloaded app in the U.S.—according to App Annie. The app lets the boy band’s Next Level Fandom pretend to be their manager, giving them access to 10,000 exclusive photos and 100 videos to obsess over. (Variety)
