Millennials are buying townhomes for “a suburban-type feel” with “a little bit more walkability.” Townhouses’ market share has hit a post-recession peak of 14%, and the National Association of Home Builders’ chief economist thinks “that 14% share is going to continue to rise and probably approach 20%…” While it’s a myth that Millennials aren’t buying homes, they are changing the game by seeking smaller, more urban developments.
