The streaming era hasn't killed the album, and Billie Eilish’s debut proves it. The Gen Z artist’s highly-anticipated When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? took the number one spot on Apple Music, where streamers listened to an average of 81% of it. That’s a departure from Drake’s 2018 album drop, when 60% of total plays came from three tracks. Apple Music says they made an effort to market Eilish's entire album instead of, for instance, dispersing tracks across curated playlists. (Grammy, MBW)
