A new SAT score could change the next wave of incoming college freshmen.

A new SAT score could change the next wave of incoming college freshmen. The Adversity Score takes 15 factors into account that measure the levels of poverty and crime in a students’ neighborhood. Fifty colleges beta-tested the score last year to create a more diverse class of students, since nonwhite students are more likely to live under adverse circumstances. The measure will roll out to 150 more schools this fall, followed by a broad roll-out in 2020. (WSJ)
