Apps are paving a tech-forward path for day care centers and preschools. Kinderlime, Kangarootime, and Tadpoles help parents enroll their kids and make payments, with some even letting parents peek inside the schools to see their daily goings-on via daily messages and pictures. One app, Brightwheel, has caught investors’ eyes by going beyond the basics and offering an “Instagram-like experience” that allows teachers and administrators to check their students’ progress against state standards with “learning assessments.” (CNBC)
