Speaking of luxury, one high-end resale site is thinking of creative ways to appeal to the Millennial consumer. Tradesy, an online peer-to-peer luxury goods marketplace, reports over half of its new users are 18-35-year-olds, and over 50% of sales are made on mobile, “the favored means of web access for younger consumers.” But they don’t treat these shoppers all the same: when sending push notifications, younger Millennials are more likely to tap on conversational messages, and customers looking at so-called entry-level brands (like Michael Kors) receive different messaging than high-end (think Hermès) types.
