Motorcycles are the latest product counting on Millennials for a comeback—and the generation isn’t racing to jump on a bike. As recently as 2003, only about a quarter of all riders were 50 or older, but that skyrocketed to nearly half in 2014, and sales continue to fall. With their core audience aging out of the physically taxing mode of transportation, the industry is realizing their marketing may have been misplaced. Now, companies are scrambling to rebrand, and supply pared-down, city-friendly alternatives to the bulky hogs of days past. (Bloomberg)
