Halloween is a bigger deal than Christmas for some Gen Z and Millennials. Research from Lightspeed Commerce shows 52% of 25-34-year-olds say that Halloween is as big as or bigger than Christmas in their lives, and 59% say that Halloween feels more important than it did three years ago. And this isnβt just Gen Z and Millennial parents feeling the Halloween hype from their kids: 80% of parents in the U.S. feel that Halloween is just as much for them as it is for kids, according to Ferraro Group. They also found that 68% of Gen Z call Halloween a favorite holiday, +15pts more than the overall population, and 78% think it should be a national holiday. Of course, YPulse has been monitoring Halloweenβs evolution from holiday to half-year lifestyle, with the growth of Summerween and Augtober. (Food Institute, Drug Store News)
