Who says British comfort food must stay traditional? Apparently not Wagamama. The pan-Asian restaurant just introduced a limited-edition Fish + Chips Ramen featuring the chainβs signature ramen noodles in a curry broth topped with tempura-battered hake, crispy sweet potato chips, and crushed edamame, finished with pea shoots, coriander, and chili flakes. This new launch comes as research commissioned by Wagamama found 51% of Gen Z consumers feel traditional British meals are dated, while 52% are actively seeking out modern culinary mashups. Raised on global street food, delivery apps, and bolder flavor combos, young diners arenβt necessarily looking for the same nostalgic food experiences as older gens. Plus, YPulse knows British Gen Z has an appetite (get it?) for experimentation, with 76% of 13-24-year-old Brits identifying as adventurous eaters. (FRY Magazine)
