Her pioneered “pop-country” style is simply a mainstream sound now, so it’s also not hard to fit her hits in with the rest of a Gen Z playlist full of Taylor Swift and Sabrina Carpenter. The message of her songs focusing heavily on the liberation of embracing her womanhood also strikes young fans as feminist in a way they champion, even if Twain didn’t see the songs in such a way when making them.
