Starbucks gave British Gen Z another reason to be outside this summer. To celebrate its new Cloud Frappuccino blended drinks, the brand transformed Manchester’s Exchange Square into “Summer in the Cloud,” a two-day pop-up experience complete with a Starbucks-themed Ferris wheel. Anyone who purchased a qualifying Cloud Frappuccino from a nearby store could ride the Ferris wheel for free, while visitors also enjoyed a free photo booth, the chance to win exclusive Starbucks merch, and complimentary Cloud Frappuccino-inspired candy floss. It’s the exact kind of experience young Europeans are looking for: YPulse’s Western Europe Experiences data shows 72% of 13-39-year-old Europeans are interested in attending brand pop-ups.
