Gen Z and Millennials care about their date’s credit score. It turns out that young people do want to talk finances on a first date—and maybe even think about it before they swipe right on someone. A new survey by dating app Hily shows that one third of young adults find someone more attractive if they have an excellent credit score. A smaller subset of respondents—20% of Gen Z and 25% of Millennials—believe that dating apps should even let users filter matches by their credit score so they can better assess potential matches. YPulse data shows the majority of 18-39-year-olds are trying to build their credit scores. So it’s not all that surprising that during a time of economic uncertainty and housing unaffordability, young adults are adding financial stability to their dating checklist. (The Hill)
