TikTok is expanding its “Out of Phone” program.

TikTok is expanding its “Out of Phone” program. The move brings TikTok videos and ads further into the real world through new partnerships with Westfield Malls and Rockbot. That means TikTok content will be on even more screens in places like shopping centers, gyms, airports, and more—in addition to the existing Times Square billboards. The idea is to reach people when they’re already out, exploring, and maybe even in the mood to shop. YPulse data shows TikTok Shop is particularly popular among 18-24-year-olds with 46% using it, so they’re likely to be the ones “with their curiosity sparked and wallets open” when seeing a life-size TikTok. Plus, with millions using #TikTokMadeMeBuyIt and U.S. users spending an average of $700 on TikTok Shop last year, the expansion highlights the platform’s ever-growing influence on consumer behavior.
