Driving is stressful to young people—but not enough to give control to a self-driving car.

Driving is stressful to young people—but not enough to give control to a self-driving car. A new Insurify survey found that 93% of U.S. drivers 22-28-years-old find driving stressful. And yet, only 17% would actually buy a self-driving vehicle, and just 7% said they’d prefer one over a regular car because they dislike driving. Despite tech improving or automating so many other parts of their lives, 26% of these drivers say they don’t like the idea of giving up control. Gen Z is also growing wary of electric vehicles in general as Trump’s “Big, Beautiful Bill” ended tax breaks for owning one. Now, nearly half say the loss of a tax credit would affect their decision to buy one. (Car Guy Dealership)
