Snapchat users are now watching eight billion (that’s billion, with a “b”) videos a day on the platform, up from two billion video views daily last May, according to source at a Snapchat closed conference. Although Facebook did not release their latest video view numbers in January, it’s safe to assume Snapchat figures are close to rivaling it, despite a much smaller audience. Sources also say CEO Evan Spiegel reported that daily users spend an average of 30 minutes a day on the app, and more than half of new users are over 25-years-old. (Re/code)
