Millennials’ nostalgia is “moving at a quicker pace than ever before”—especially with music. Beloved artists and songs from a mere 10 years ago are already making a comeback with the generation, inspiring a host of new nightlife events revolving around emo, “millennium pop-rock, '90s hip-hop, and girl band/boy-band bubblegum pop.” For their monthly Emo Night LA, Echoplex sees “blocks-long lines,” and even sold 1,400 tickets for their recent one-year anniversary party. Experts believe the fascination with music from a recent past stems from “the fast-paced nature of today’s digitalized culture.”
