Two influencers are suing Honey, PayPal’s money-saving browser extension.

Two influencers are suing Honey, PayPal’s money-saving browser extension. Ads for Honey are common across podcasts and YouTube videos. But two recent allegations that it’s taking away profit from creators means more might step away from it. The lawsuits claim Honey is taking the affiliate credit for sales it didn’t actually drive, because it got the “last click” before a purchase. Whether this is truly illegal is being debated, though it may feel “unfair” to influencers who promoted a sale. The suits have potential to become class action, allowing other creators who have partnered with Honey to sign on for damages, and multiple have already spoken out about the product.
