PopSockets is making a comeback by rebranding itself as a lifestyle brand.

Nov 26 2024

PopSockets is making a comeback by rebranding itself as a lifestyle brand. In the 2010s, the circular phone grips were a popular accessory, whether for teens at schools or celebs on TV. However, the rise of copycat grips and competitors like Casetify with their trending designs has reduced its presence in pop culture. But the brand wants to regain its relevance, so PopSockets is revamping its marketing strategy to target Gen Z consumers. They’re focusing on influencer promotion, while also adding more accessories like cases, chargers, and wristlets to their catalog. They’ve even enlisted Jools Lebron (the originator of “demure”) for a phone case collection, certainly aiming to prove an understanding of Gen Z’s aesthetic trends. They are aiming to reconnect with their target audience (18-35-year-old women) by encouraging viewing phones as fashion accessories for photos and social outings. (Ad Age)
