Parents still think college is worth the price tag, even if Gen Z doesn’t.

Parents still think college is worth the price tag, even if Gen Z doesn’t. YPulse has told you before that Gen Z students are increasingly placing less value on having a college degree, especially in the face of rising tuition. But their parents are in a different boat: 77% of parents with a child 18-or-younger planning to go to college agree a college education is worth the cost. And Fidelity’s annual College Indicator study shows 74% of these parents say they’re saving for their child’s education, compared to 54% who said so in 2007. But many are still worried the costs of college will stand in the way of their children’s opportunities because of what it may cost in years to come. (Fast Company)

📊 YPulse data: 51% of middle / high school students agree, “I don’t need a college degree to be successful”
