Gen Z still listens to the radio.

Gen Z still listens to the radio. Even though 13-22-year-olds’ listening habits definitely lean toward streaming, with Spotify and YouTube leading the way, radio still has a notable place in their life: 20% of their listening time comes from AM/FM. In fact, Edison Research found 53% of 13-34-year-olds (so, Millennials, too) listen to radio dailyβ€”naturally, more than half of that being during car rides. And while radio isn’t the younger gen’s number one source for listening to music, it’s notable that radio reaches 81% of 18-49-year-olds weekly, which is +20pts more than what cable TV now reaches.
