People of color want electric vehicles just as much as White consumers. But, unlike White consumers, POC have a barrier concern that comes with EVs: easy access to charging locations. When asked about purchasing or leasing an EV as their next vehicle, 33% of White consumers and 38% of Black consumers said they were serious or definite about it. But with the most affordable option of charging an EV being at home, it was a lot harder for POC or Latinos to say they would definitely purchase one. Making that happen is hard when 50% of Black respondents noted they own their home compared to 75% of White respondents. (Yahoo Tech)
