Gen Z and Millennials are trying to save the planet by quitting jobs that aren’t eco-friendly.

May 21 2024

Gen Z and Millennials are trying to save the planet by quitting jobs that aren’t eco-friendly. While climate change has motivated many young people to drive environmental sustainability in the workplace, it’s having a contradictory effect on others. A recent Deloitte survey revealed that 45% of young workers have either already quit their jobs, or plan to do so, due to concerns about climate change and the company’s environmental impact. Others are collectively pushing their management to prioritize environmental sustainability (54% of Gen Z and 48% of Millennials), urging the company to take action and adopt eco-friendly practices. And to that end, nearly a third of young people would like sustainability training in the workplace. (Fortune)
