The total solar eclipse could get as many as 4M people in the U.S. traveling to view it. Equivalent to there being “50 Super Bowls simultaneously from Texas to Maine,” this year’s solar eclipse differs from others because it will last longer and have much larger prime viewing points across the nation. Eclipse-chasers have only grown in numbers, especially since the pandemic fueled traveling, and truly value sharing the experience with others. Those located in parts of the southern U.S., the Midwest, and New England make up nearly 31.6M people that it will be visible to—and again, that isn’t even counting those planning to travel for it.
